Day 1 Lake Manyara National Park

Day 2 Tarangire National Park

On the second day of your Wild Wonders Safari, you'll journey to Tarangire National Park, known for its breathtaking baobab trees and vast herds of elephants. After an early breakfast, you’ll begin the short drive to the park. Along the way, you’ll pass through open landscapes that seem to stretch forever. As soon as you enter Tarangire, the adventure begins. First, you’ll notice the towering baobabs, their ancient trunks rising high into the sky. Soon after, the elephants come into view. Tarangire is famous for its elephant population, and you’ll see them almost immediately. Whether grazing in family groups or slowly making their way across the plains, these giants are everywhere. At times, you’ll find yourself almost eye-to-eye with them, as they move close to your vehicle. As the day progresses, you’ll spot more of the park's incredible wildlife. Herds of zebras and wildebeests roam freely, while giraffes gracefully nibble at the tops of acacia trees. At any moment, a predator like a lion or a leopard might appear, adding to the thrill of the day. Transitioning from one sight to the next, your guide will ensure you don’t miss a single detail. Later in the day, you’ll stop for lunch at a scenic picnic spot. Here, you can take a break and soak in the peaceful surroundings, all while being immersed in the sights and sounds of the wild. As the afternoon cools, animals become more active. This is the perfect time to spot even more wildlife, including Tarangire's remarkable birdlife, which includes over 500 species. You'll see everything from colorful rollers to the world's largest bird, the ostrich. As the sun starts to set, painting the sky with golden hues, you’ll make your way to your lodge. After an early breakfast, you’ll leave Tarangire behind and begin the scenic journey to one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. As you drive, the landscape transitions from the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the vast, open plains of the Serengeti, where the horizon seems endless. Along the way, you might encounter Maasai herders tending their cattle, a striking reminder of the cultural richness of Tanzania. As you get closer to the Serengeti, the excitement builds. The Serengeti comes alive in the early hours, and this is the perfect time to catch predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards on the prowl. The soft morning light is perfect for incredible wildlife photography, with animals basking in the warmth of the day. This is also THE moment for an (optional) hot air balloon safari. Throughout the day, you’ll journey deeper into the park, discovering different ecosystems that each offer something unique. As you move into the woodlands and river areas, elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes can be seen in larger groups. On day five of your Wild Wonders Safari, you’ll do a morning game drive. After lunch you'll leave the vast plains of the Serengeti behind and make your way toward the breathtaking Ngorongoro Highlands. The road to Ngorongoro offers more than just spectacular views; you’ll have the chance to spot wildlife along the way. Herds of zebras and wildebeest continue to roam the area, and, if you’re lucky, you might even see a Maasai herder guiding his cattle across the land. As you move closer to the crater rim, the anticipation builds, knowing that you’re approaching one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders. Once you reach the highlands, the views are simply stunning. Looking out over the crater’s edge, you’ll get your first glimpse of the vast, unbroken caldera below.
