Please read our terms and conditions carefully before booking a tour with Group Safari Tanzania. By booking a trip with us, you agree to our terms and conditions, which constitute the entire agreement between us.
1. Tour booking
- Our terms and conditions are included in all website packages. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to abide by them.
- Ensure your passport is valid at least six months after your return and that all names match your passport.
- It is your responsibility to secure the correct visas, permits, and certificates.
2. Reservation, deposit, and payment
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $ 100 or $ 200 of the total amount of the trip is required to confirm your booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card.
- Customised tours: An additional deposit might be required for customised lodge/tented camp tours.
- Amount and currency: Prices are quoted in USD.
Final payment: Full payment is due 30 days before departure or in cash at arrival, depending on the type of trip and agreement. Failure to pay will result in cancellation and forfeiture of deposit.
3. Cancellation and refund
- Deposit: The standard $ 100 (budget) or $ 200 (luxury) deposit is non-refundable. If you have paid more to secure your accommodations of a customised safari, we refer to the refund policy of those accommodations minus bank transfer costs.
- Trip cancellation: We may cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., terrorism, natural disasters). You can choose a new departure date or receive a full refund.
- Unused services: No refund for unused services during the tour.
- Date change and transfer: Subject to fees depending on tour type.
4. Tour price includes and excludes
Includes: accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, meals, guides, trekking staff and equipment, camping fees, park fees, concession fees, and permits, as mentioned in your itinerary.
Excludes: visa fees, airport transfers, accommodation before and after the tour, international airfare taxes, gratuities, personal expenses, items not listed in the itinerary, tips for the guide(s).
5. Force majeure
Group Safari Tanzania is not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by unforeseen events beyond their control (e.g., war, natural disasters).
6. International flights
We are not responsible for air travel issues. We can refer you to a travel agent upon request.
7. Health and Fitness
- Our tours require a reasonable level of fitness.
- Participants with physical or mental disabilities requiring special attention can only be accommodated on special request before the booking.
- Removal from the tour due to fitness issues will be at the client’s expense.
8. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend a good travel insurance.
9. Baggage
- One checked luggage (max 20kg) and one carry-on (max 5kg) allowed per client. If you have more luggage – maybe for Zanzibar – then let us know before you arrive and leave it in your accommodation in Arusha/Moshi during the safari or climbing.
- Clients must handle their own luggage as porter service may not be available everywhere.
10. Responsible behaviour
- Clients must follow the rules of the tour leader and local agents.
- Any disruptive behaviour can lead to removal from the tour at the client’s expense.
11. Responsibilities of Group Safari Tanzania
- Group Safari Tanzania acts as an agent for suppliers and assumes no responsibility for any injury, death, damage, or loss resulting from their services.
- Group Safari Tanzania may make necessary changes to the itinerary, such as substituting hotels, lodges or tented camps.
- Clients are expected to adapt to different living standards and practices outside their home country.
- Group Safari Tanzania is not responsible for any delays, substitutions, or omissions by airlines.
12. Rights of Group Safari Tanzania
- Group Safari Tanzania has the right to accept or reject any tour member.
- They may use photos taken during the tour for promotional purposes.
- Clients who prefer not to have their image used should inform the tour leader.
- Group Safari Tanzania reserves the right to adjust prices or correct any errors in the itinerary in the event of changes in government fees or taxes, or if there is an error in pricing or itinerary details.
13. Complaint and claim
- Complaints need to be reported to the tour guide or supplier management during the safari.
- All written complaints must be received by Group Safari Tanzania within 30 days of the tour’s completion.
- No guarantee of material or financial compensation is provided.
